Relationship and friendships

When all is said and done, the only thing we will have are the people that love us truly. Sometimes the money goes, good health declines, but having loved ones is divine. I know this too well, and that’s why I value my Relationships and friends. Yup, I value you, too, that is taking your time to read on my every post on this website! I absolutely appreciate you.

So yeah, I’ll be giving you an insight into my world via the people I hold dear — my friends, my enemies, my lovers…and my enemies too. I plan to give you details on how I met each one and the circumstances that led to our forging of an eternal bond. Before we go on, I hope you still keep the relationship with your day ones fresh, because it’s important. I make sure that no matter how far I go in life, the people I’ve known all my life never ever feel like they are not important in my life. I try as much as possible to mend the bridges when we fight and also to celebrate their small wins. When all is said and gone, these moments become moments for life.

Basically, my closest friends and people I’ve forged close-knitted relationships with are people I’ve known for a great part of my existence in this life. Luckily for me, I’ve got a truckload of awesome, annoying, and incredible people in my life. These are people I’m sure will fight for me, break the bank for me, and also whoop my ass when I misbehave. I love the people around me. For the purpose of keeping you entertained while at the same time giving you a window into my world, I’ll tell you about a few of my friends. So when I get locked up, you know who to call on my behalf.

When I was in middle school, I was short. Really short. And I felt insecure about my height. I became reserved and would sit alone. Thinking about it, my height really wasn’t the problem. The problem was majorly about how petite I looked. I wanted to be admired by boys too the way other girls were. I wanted to have big boobs and look like an adult-like my peers were. So, all these forged deep-seated insecurities that did not allow me to make friends with people of my age group.

One unfortunate day, in my corner at the cafeteria, a boy came up and dumped trash on my plate. His other friends burst into a frenzy and hysteria. I was sad. I was hungry. I was angry too. But I could not do anything about the situation just as I was about to turn away and leave for class. I heard a loud cry from this silly boy. His hands were being bent backwards by a tall, beautiful girl. I had seen her before. She was new to our school. She made him apologize to me. That was the sweetest thing anybody had done. From that moment, Sharon, as I got to know her name, became my best friend. She still is to date. In my gallivanting and misdemeanours, you’ll certainly see a beautiful girl who is my partner in crime and the queen of chaos. I love Sharon to death, and I’m not ashamed to call her my sister. We’ve been friends for more than 20 years now, and there is no slowing down.

A little secret about Sharon, the only thing she loves more than me, is a bottle of whiskey. The pretty blonde whom I love so much is an alcoholic in denial, sadly.

If you are looking for me, if you are lucky to find the following people I’m about to mention, you’ll definitely find me: Regina, my sidekick. I’ve known her since I was born. My next-door neighbour, who’s my friend forever. Richard, my fellow casino game enthusiast. Amaka, the one that disappoints every time but is a bundle of love and care.

What I’m trying to pass across to you is the utmost importance of having people around you. Never at any point in time feel like you can do this life thing alone. I am an advocate of the notion that you need people. You need people for your everyday living. So as you go ahead in your life conquest and wins, never forget home and the people that had been there for you from the beginning.
